Words picked up internally

Phrases that suddenly appear in my heads, often due my current streamf thought, but sometimes merely spontaneously.

• “the old days were better”
  Sure, that’s mostly because you were young, an advantage that very much outweighs the low lvel of development of technology at the time.

• “I want to go back”
  You definitely cannot.
  And you actually don’t want to either.

• “I want my today to have the richness of experience I associate with the old days”
  Well you have your memories I suppose. But don’t expect to always have pleasant surprises.

  There was a lot of painful experiences back then.
  And unfortunately you mind will experience them differently.
  But what led you to thinking they were satisfying? You always felt they were empty and were constantly striving for more.
